    Appalachia Dogs

Now, I know my name is all out for Appy, but honestly I really wonder if things will ever look up for the poor boys. There are some hard players out there every season, I don't know if it's just the coaching[or lack there of] or if the heart has completely been taken from Appalachia. Though the JV, is looking very outstanding this year with many great 8th graders out there. But what's the future for Dawg Football.

My crystal ball shows the dawgs boarding a new bus and riding to BSG to a new school in about 3 years.

Ahhh we don't need a huge "is or is not going to happen" consolidation thread on here.

Oh it will happen with the only sad part being that it doesn't happen starting next year and end all of the stalling and not being backward thinking and doing instead of forward!!!!

What name did you use to start this same subject this time last fall?

    Re: Appalachia Dogs

i don't understand the reason for not consolidating and i guess i never will... it seems as if the only reason for not doing it is people not wanting to give up their old home town traditions and sports, which is sad considering the kids could have way more opportunities to succeed both in the classroom and on the athletic field in a consolidated school.

It is just one of those reoccurring topics that are on here. The Appy folks for the most part will start talking about the disaster of Shelby Valley and East Ridge as shining examples of why consolidation is the great saten and bring up the fact that Phil hates all the Appy boys and would not let them be part of his ball team......Soon after the argument start getting really silly

I have said for several years that Consolidation needs to happen in our area and while I do still think it will the timeframe could be next year or in another 25 years
